Created by Spindleworks Gardiner
Spindleworks Gardiner is a vibrant all abilities artists’ coworking space and gallery dedicated to empowering artists with intellectual disabilities and autism through creative expression, community engagement, and professional development. As an extension of the renowned Spindleworks program, we provide a welcoming space where artists can explore various mediums, develop their skills, and showcase their work.
With Voices of Gardiner, we seek to connect you to the amazing and creative businesses we visit every day. We hope to share our experience of living in a connected and vibrant community to the world through hearing and learning about the who, what and why of our hometown.
Spindleworks Gardiner is a non-profit program of the Independence Association, and sister studio to Spindleworks Brunswick, in existence since 1976. Our studio space is where we learn skills, create, and sell our art.
This project was made possible with support from Planeterra, Gardiner Main Street, Maine Development Foundation, and the many wonderful local businesses that make Gardiner a unique community.
